so now what..

Eveyone is always talking about their blog these days. “Check it out I wrote about this or that”. They dont even want to tell you in person but rather will say “go check it out and see for yourself”. Makes sense I guess. I decided to finally get round to starting my own blog. Its taken quite a while. This is something I meant to do probably 5 or 6 years ago but I kept putting it off. I have always felt like I have something different to say that might be worth hearing for at least a few people out there.

I however have never been sure whether blogging is the best way of getting your ideas out there. I think im just gonna use this blog to share music I like and talk about travel and stuff I like doing rather than get into any deep emotional stuff. I think thats a good way of starting. Keep it light hearted and then if a certain day I wake up and feel like writing something really from the heart then I can easily create another section on the website and start writing from there. Sometime I come across blogs written by friends of mine or people I kinda know to talk to a little and feel like they are just giving far too much of themselves away.

Lots of us are completely self obsessed of courye and thats not likely to change anytime soon. Everyone is capable of getting their 5 minutes of fame online. just make a crazy youtube video of something topical like that guy screaming about leaving Britney alone or something like that. Who needs reality tv competitions anymore when you got online videos that can go viral within a few hours. I remember years ago I messed around with a few mambo/joomla sites so I was tempted to use one of those again for this but everyone seems to recommend wordpress so I thought Id dive in. So far so good as things seems to be reasonable easy with things seeming fairly intuitive.

There are also lots and lots of plugins which offer all kinds of options which Im sure it will take me quite a while to get my head around. So far though it definetely seems like something you can dive right into without have to watch a whole lot of videos or read alot of instructions. Ive never been one for reading instructions first so thats certainly a good thing for me. I dont know when or if Il share this blog with friends or family. I guess il just see how it goes and If I think its something they might like I can pass it on per person and see what the reaction is
